MercyStreet is a community collaboration of churches, non-profit organizations, the faith based community, and law enforcement to reach out to those on the streets of Fresno, CA. MercyStreet Teams walk the streets of various parts of the city designated by law enforcement to have the most need. Teams offer prayer, resources, a way off the streets, and the national 24-hour hotline number.
We start the conversation by offering a pink carnation. The pink carnation means, “I’ll never forget you.” We let them know, male or female, that Jesus has not forgotten them. That He knows their name, their story, their tears. And that He has a plan and a hope and a better future for them.
