Survivor Support Group

This is an open, on-going group for survivors who have completed the Seeking Safety curriculum, but can still benefit from both weekly and occasional support. Members can process current issues, provide support for each other, and review healthy coping and life skills with the therapist.

Seeking Safety Group

Seeking Safety is based on the work of Lisa M. Najavits. It is a treatment designed to treat both PTSD and substance abuse concurrently. This is a 1.5-hour group that provides the foundation for future therapeutic work. In this group, survivors will learn about PTSD and substance abuse, healthy coping skills, how to restore lost ideals, and how to take care of themselves.

Youth Prevention and Intervention Inititiave

Prevention: Because we know human trafficking, in its simplest form, is a byproduct of severe trauma which sadly all too often takes place before the age of 12, our youth initiative offers young adults the same therapeutic service (Case Management, Counseling) that we offer in our Adult division coupled with age appropriate and activities and Classes.

Intervention: We are not looking to reinvent the wheel, we want to make it run smoothly. In order to do this MFT works in the community with local high schools to give educational leaders opportunities to become trauma-informed. This opens the doors to have informed conversation with students about HT 101 and allows them to know the warning and danger signs to watch for.
